The Metamodern Mystery school takes a person through a Hero’s Journey. It’s a journey for heroes because it’s a transformational journey full of both risk and reward. Why risk?  Because you stand to lose all your excuses for why the world doesn’t fit with you. Why reward? For the same reason: you stand to become far more than you ever imagined possible and that requires transcending your current limitations while including everything that worked to get you where you are now.

The Hero is an archetype with 1000 faces — including your face — on a Journey that has recurring features:

1. Status quo – You’ve reached homeostasis. Everything is good. You’ve come so far.  You’ve overcome obstacles to reach this point in your life. No need to rock the boat.
2. Call to adventure – You’re invited to grow. You’re told that you have dormant potential that needs to awaken to serve your BIG WHY and fulfill your destiny. Maybe it’s a race toward higher consciousness and achieving the highest human potential.
3. Assistance – You want to go on this adventure, but you need some help. When the student is ready, the teacher appears.
4. Departure – You leave the safety of status quo and set off on the adventure into the unknown, ready to awaken dormant potential. You’re a stranger in a strange land…
5. Trials – Being a hero is hard work! You solve problems that have riddled you for years. You tackle the challenges of lower brain dominance and start unleashing higher potential.
6. Approach – You approach your worst fears. What if you’re not who you thought you were…?  What if you’re really …?
7. Crisis – Your darkest hour. The world isn’t what you thought it was. There is something more real than the status quo. But if that’s true, a renaissance is required. But that means…
8. Treasure – Rebirth or reward. The human body is full of ecstasy and the mind is full of joy. This is part of human destiny… but it’s not easy. That’s why this is a hero’s journey, and not a martyr’s journey.
9. Result – You’re the one holding the treasure! Now what? You must deal with the consequences of accomplishing a treasure! Are you chased out? Are people after the treasure? The status quo doesn’t understand this new-found treasure.
10. Return – back to the world you left behind. You’ve gone far on your adventure, but you’re back in the old world of status quo. There is no escape. Activating your treasure requires a non-dual approach.
11. New Life – You have outgrown the old world. You’re a New Human with a New Life.
12. Resolution – You make sense of the adventure, with all its twists & turns. It makes sense why you said “YES!!” to the transformative adventure, despite all the challenges.
13. Status Quo – you reach homeostasis, again, but you’ve been upgraded to a new level, at higher states & stages of consciousness. Now what, Hero?

The Hero’s Journey happens to all of us. And it will happen to you. But it’s up to you to choose your adventure. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. PraxisAletheia: The Metamodern Mystery School.

Four Dimensions of YOU

The Hero undergoes the Hero’s Journey as a complex, multi-dimensional being. What we know about humans, there are four dimensions below which we cannot reduce. That means in order for the Hero to achieve treasure, rebirth, and a New Life as a Hero all four dimensions must be addressed heroically.

1. Mind
2. Body
3. Relationships
4. Environment

And every human has multiple lines of development. Just to name a few:

1. Identity
2. Cognition
3. Emotional
4. Brain/Body
5. Behavioral
6. Cultural
7. Philosophic
8. Linguistic
9. Financial
10. Social
11. Evolutionary
12. SalutoGenic

What is this “SalutoGenic” line of development? SalutoGenic mechanisms are emergent properties within human physiology that awaken higher capacities of the higher brain, higher heart, and epigenetic DNA expression.

Each line of development moves through stages over time. When we are first born, all of our lines of development start in an “Archaic” state of survival, our only purpose to acquire food & physical safety.

We make the call to adventure, and you answer. Because we’ve studied this Journey intensely for over 20 years, we know the challenges and how to overcome them. But we cannot say “yes” for you, and we cannot undergo the journey for you. We can go with you, though. Assistance will be with you the whole way.
